I don’t think it will look too large.  I have 4.5 size fingers and i wear a 1.00ct emerald cut diamond surrounded by a halo and it looks fine 🙂  I could even go bigger, haha.

Perhaps stating the obvious here but would it be possible for you to try a similar ring on in a store?  I ordered online, too, but tried some things on first so I had some idea what I was getting in to:-).

PS–love the ring!  Mine is a cushion halo, and I was thisclose to getting a split shank, gorgeous!

That ring is so pretty! It is actualy an extremely similar design as my own e-ring (split shank, cushion halo). I wear a 1.2 center stone on a size 6 finger, though. For what it’s worth, I don’t think that would be too big at all!

way too big for my tastes. I like 1 large rock… but 1 big one and many more little ones is a lot too much… especially on a small finger.

I love the ring! It’s similar to mine from MoissaniteCo – but I would recommend not going with a 1.4ct if you’re even remotely worried about it being too big. Some girls really rock larger stones, but if you are not comfortable, you won’t be happy.

My original ering came with a 1.4ct center stone and I exchanged it for a 1.1, and honestly would even be totally happy with the .85ct option! I’m a ring size 5.75. With my 1.1, people tell me it’s the “biggest rock” they’ve ever seen.

Here’s the 1.1 on me:

Flashy?  Yes.  Overwhelming?  Depends on your style maybe circle.   I wear a 4.5 would feel perfectly comfortable with that, but many of my friends have 1.5+ so its normal.

If you love it, I don’t think it would be too big or flashy. I have a size 4 finger and would rock that comfortably, not because it’s normal in my social circle by any stretch of the imagination but because if I love it, I’m gonna have it . “Realistic” isn’t a consideration for me either because I do not try to pass moissy off as diamonds.

I’m currently rocking a 7.68 x 7.73 Amora OEC solitaire, but wouldn’t hesitate to stick it in a JBEG halo when the finances are right! 🙂

I have a similar ring – only without the split shank and with a round diamond center not cushion. I’m a 4.5-4.75 and have a 2 ct diamond – it is perfect for me! If you like bigger rings, go for it – you won’t be disappointed!

Like PP said, it depends on your regular style. If you prefer chunky, cocktail rings and thicker, bold jewelry, this will be a great ring and size. However, if you are not the jewelry type or prefer smaller, daintier pieces, then this could be rather big. FWIW, I have a 1.06 ct in a similar setting (just minus the split shank) and I wear a sz 4.75/5. I think it looks plenty big, especially since it’s a well-cut diamond that’s very sparkly. Darling Husband also gifted me a 2.4/2.8 (forgot the exact amount) ct cluster ring and while I like wearing that too, I’m more self-conscious of it than my regular ering. I don’t wear much jewelry on a regular basis so whatever I do wear definitely stands out.

I just wanted to say that ring is beautiful but I’m biased bc it looks a lot like my ring! I have a halo split shank with double bands on each side. I have a 6.5 finger and I will say it looks large on me. Mine is 2.1 center. But I love large bling! In my opinion no such thing as too much bling!

I wear a 3.5 and my center stone is just over 1.75… no such thing as too big in my book…

Sorry these are crappy cell phone pics… I have one with and one without the bands.
