I’m a snoop, but I really wasn’t searching for a ring or paper trail. Nonetheless, I came across the receipt in our shared sock drawer. Couldn’t he have picked a better hiding place?!? At least now I know the time line of when the ring will be ready as it said promise time of late August / early September. Now I get to wait patiently for him to officially pop the question next month 🙂

He might hold on to the ring for a while before he asks. Just be patient and trust that he has a plan.

My husband had the ring for 6 months before proposing. Don’t assume a proposal will come right after the ring arrives. His plan might mean waiting a little longer if there are certain elements he needs more time to get together.

cameobride : hikingbride : True, the thought that it might be a proposal in a few months instead of when he gets the ring crossed my mind. I’m hoping it’s sooner than later though because we’ve already talked about having our wedding next year so we don’t have too much time to wait for planning purposes 🙂

That’s awesome! Congrats! Us waiting bees are here to support you. If you’re planning a wedding for next year, then it’s pretty safe to say it will happen sooner than later, but I would just expect an October or November proposal just so you aren’t disappointed if it doesn’t happen sooner. Men tend to take a few months to plan things out.
