I have to vary it per season.  I like the MAC when I need the extra coverage, but I also really like the Avon mineral powder foundation.  I don’t care for the bare minerals, but I really like the avon version.  I haven’t tried the liquid yet, but I think I might, but the power is great for the summer in my experience.

I use L’Oreal Visible Lift and I really like it. I don’t necessarily need the anti-aging but it seems to go on so smooth and silky.

Also, if you’re looking for light you might try mixing the foundation with a lotion (like Cetaphil) or primer (like Monistat Chafing Relief Gel).

I’m a very loyal clinique fan, and I’ve been using their foundation since high school!  I use perfectly real makeup: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P122863

It’s low-medium coverage, but they have so many different kinds.  Usually buy at macy’s or whichever store has a bonus!

I’ve been using Lancome, which I really loved, but then I recently realized that they test on animals.  I’m going back to Bare Escentuals.  It gave great coverage and they don’t do things that conflict with my morals.

I buy tinted moisturizer by Tarte at Sephora (or on beauty.com).  I love it because it contains SPF, is very smooth/not heavy, and provides great coverage for how lightweight it is.  I put that over my regular moisturizer to use as a “base,” then use Urban Decay 24/7 concealer as a “spot treatment” under my eyes and on any blemishes.

@MadameTussaud:  Good for you!  I’m a cruelty-free buyer, too.  Laughing

I hate the heavy feeling of foundation. I was introduced to Clinique “even better” foundation and it’s awesome! It feels like but gives great coverage. I’d definitely reccommend it.

I really love my Smashbox photofinish b/c it gives me the coverage I need but does NOT feel heavy. I use it in conjuction with Monistat Chaffing gel for primer & MUFE microfinish powder to have all day coverage.

I used to wear bare minerals but switched b/c I couldn’t get the coverage I needed & it didn’t last all day… and it doesn’t photo well b/c of the spf (that’s what I was told anyways)

Surprisingly, I am loving Maybelline Dream Nude Air Foam. If you stipple it on with a flat top powder brush(no blending in circles just let it dry once you’ve stippled) it can create a completely full coverage face that feels weightless. I used to buy Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown but I am shocked that this is so much better for my skin. Completely weightless 🙂

I love MAC but for some reason, my face can hold a ton of make up. Not everyone is like this. I think BObbi Brown is another great option for people who feel the way you do about MAC.

I’ve been using Paula Dorf Oil Free Foundation from Ulta. It’s nice but I much prefer the feeling of Smashbox High Definition Concealer. Unfortuately they don’t make a shade light enough for my ghostly complexion.

I love the Mary Kay mineral powder.
