I used MAC. MAC was originally a stage makeup so it’s made for that kind of thing. I also used a MAC makeup artist, they know their products and how to apply them for those kinds of situations.

I bought Make Up Forever HD foundation from Sephora, and Smashbox primer. Not married yet but I used it for our engagement pics and it looked great. I’ve read to stay away from products with SPF because that is what causes the whiteness/flashback etc.

@marinewife4:  I used Smashbox 15 hr longwear foundation over the Smashbox photo finish primer. I topped it off with powder and Urban Decay’s All Nighter setting spray. I didn’t need one touch up and my face stayed flawless all afternoon and night (even after I bawled my eyes out during the entire ceremony).

I don’t know if you have a Sephora is your area, but many of them have this really cool tool that takes a picture of your skin, and matches you up with foundations that match. Then you can choose based on what you need. So, for pictures, no SPF, etc. Just tell them you want it to look good in wedding pictures and they should be helpful with suggestions.

I’m doing my make up DIY and got the thing at Sephora done the other day. I now have a foundation that matches my skin perfectly for the first time ever! It took a few tries before the woman at Sephora found a perfect match, but it was worth it.

Armani is what I will use on my big day. Their foundation are really good and unlike YSL, they are good for photography..

@marinewife4:  L’Oreal True Match. You can get it at Target for about $8. I hired a professional makeup artist for my day-of makeup and this is what she used. She’s been in the industry for 30+ years and does mostly commercial work. A few years ago she was working on starting her own makeup line and met with the people at Lancome (which is owned by L’Oreal). She toured their factory in France and was told that the only difference between L’Oreal and Lancome is the fragrance added at the end.

I did DIY makeup. Foundation was one of my splurges. I got Bobby Brown longwear from Sephora and it was amazing. Seriously. Stayed on all day without feeling heavy or getting splotchy.

@marinewife4:  Hourglass Cosmetics Immaculate Foundation. I swear by the stuff. It lasts 12+ hours, is sweat proof (I go to Crossfit and my friends tell me it still looks amazing after), it does NOT cause break outs or oily skin, matte finish for anti-shine. Goes on as liquid sets as a buildable powder.

It is what Kim Kardashian wore for her wedding. It is $55.00 per bottle and I get it from Sephora.

Smashbox 15 hour, and it lives up to it’s name. It’s my go-to foundation.
