I am not married yet, but I used my Make Up Forever HD foundation for our engagement pictures and it turned out great. That’s what I’m using for wedding makeup as well.

@marinewife4: Good point, I didn’t think about no flash. Our pics were all taken outside on a sunny day so yah, I doubt we had flash. I can’t upload a pic right now because my uploader keeps crashing on me.

@marinewife4: I wouldn’t take the chance on such a big day! These photos are from Fiance prom 6 years ago. The top one shows what you can look like when you wear foundations with SPF (in reaction to flash. This isn’t even the worst picture I have of it…but I can’t find the others to show you) The bottom was how I looked in natural lighting.
My makeup artist was horrible (as you can probably tell)! So glad a more reputable makeup artist moved into town!!!

I would highly recommend Stila’s ”stay all day” foundation and concealer. I’ve been using it for a few months now and I never have to worry about it throughout the day! Gives such a flawless look!

@marinewife4: Good plan! I was horrified when I saw those pictures the next day haha.
Nope it doesn’t! It’s a high def/high performance foundation that the pro’s use. I was actually just reading an article the other day which rated it alongside MAC’s foundation (which goes to show how awesome it is)

@marinewife4: Just butting in here. If you have good lighting, a well trained MUA, and a good photog, you should be fine regardless of the foundation SPF level. Especially if your MUA properly sets the foundation with a translucent powder that doesn’t have lots of MICA or Silica in it. I love Lancome foundations and wear Teint Idole (the 24 hour wear) foundation as my every day foundation in the summer because it so light weight. I love the stuff!
Avoid glittery and shimmery products (for eye shaddow and blushes specifically) as they will reflect light and can look harsh in certain lighting. Also remember that your photographer will retouch your photos anyway, so if there is any flashback or glare, he/she will tone it down before you ever even see the proofs.
Best of luck on your special day!!

@Marlisle016: Do they sell Stila at Sephora? I’m going to have my friend do my makeup, so I”ll be buying my own products.

I wore Estée Lauder and couldn’t fault it.
