Butterfly6 : Huge difference for me! Pore minimizing, mattifying and smoothing are the types of primers I go to on a daily basis. They help keep my make up looking fresher all day long. I love setting sprays, too. Especially if you set your foundation with powder, the setting spray helps to blend all the powders (setting, blush, bronzer, highlight) together and keep your skin looking more like skin. It also helps my make up last longer, and gives it a gently little boost during the day.

Everyone on youtube raves about the new Wet n Wild foundation. Photo finish or something I think it’s called. I looked at it at Walmart yesterday, it seems very liquidy. I’ve also heard that brand makes a really good long wear foundation. We never get a good selection at our stores though. My recommendation would be to do what im doing and run many trials I’ve practiced eye makeup an few times already and have settled on a look, but I still need to practice doing it a few more times and try a few things to try to get better color payoff from the eyeshadow I chose. I’m still trying to decide between my typical bb cream and foundation powder or a heavier foundation set with pressed powder. I’m just going to try a few different things over the next few weeks and see what wears/looks best.

nykkee : The WnW photo focus foundation is a great everyday, but not sure I’d recommend it for a wedding. It is not as long lasting as some of the others mentioned here (I am wearing it today, actually!)

rachaell : I dont know about how the Estee lauder photographs, but I just wanted to advice you to try a sample before buying it cause that foundation doesnt work at all on my skin! I am fairly pale and slightly pinkish, and my skin doesnt look good at all with that foundation even if the tone is right!

sparklebee83 : I tried a sample of the Porefessional and it really didn’t work on my oily skin. I was so bummed!

ljm308 : I think primers are kind of a crapshoot! I went through a bunch before I discovered that one. And it sucks, because you can’t always tell until you’ve worn it for a whole day! I recently threw away three primers that had probably only been used once or twice.

sparklebee83 : I agree. I’m still searching for the perfect one. I can’t bear to throw things away so I usually end up using the ones that I like best on an every day basis and the ones that I don’t like as much on the weekends. Otherwise I share with my friends too, I have one friend who I call my product dumpster because she has received SO MANY of my half-used products…
