I used Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, which I love. It looks natural and blends in with my skin very nicely. It made my skin look smooth and even, and it stayed on all night without getting greasy. I like Bare Minerals, too, and wear that sometimes, but it can look heavy if I don’t blend it in well. I think ultimately it’ll depend on your skin type and tone, and what matches you best.

I love my bare minerals for everyday but I don’t think it would be long lasting enough for wedding use.  Plus I’ve heard something about the way it catches light makes it not photograph well unless you load on the bronzing products.

Bare minerals would not last a whole day on me, i would go for some “real makeup.” I wear Bridesmaid or Best Man daily but for my wedding probably not.

I’m a bride to be and a makeup artist- airbrush makeup would be the best option but if you are doing it it yourself I would definitely recommend Make Up For Ever’s HD foundation.  You can have it matched to your skin in Sephora and it will provide great coverage for the photos.  PLEASE don’t use Bareminerals- I love it but there is a sunscreen in the foundation which will reflect back WHITE in your pictures, making you look almost like a ghost.

Best of luck on your big day!  Don’t forget to powder 🙂

i have really, really dry skin, so i went to sephora to see what they’d recommend and ended up getting (and loving!) make up forever’s hd liquid makeup. it’s awesome. my make-up artist wanted to use this chanel foundation that she had, but because my skin is so dry it felt like it got pasty over time, whereas the make up forever kind felt really natural and lasted longer.

My MUA used Chanel which I had airbrushed.  It was wonderful and now I’m thinking of getting some as my special occasion make-up.  I normally use Laura Mericer tinted moisturizer which blends very well.

When I’ve had airbrush done at Sephora, it didn’t provide as much coverage as I’d like.  It lasted a long time, but the coverage wasn’t enough for me from the very beginning.  I currently use the Smashbox concealear/foundation/halo powder/Make Up Forever microfinish powder as my routine.  Provides enough coverage for the day.  I’d be intersted in checking out the MUF foundation thuogh, if the coverage is similar or better.  I have really uneven skin tone and some brown/red spots so the Bare minerals or any tinted moisturizer would never be enough for me.  Though they look nice on someone with perfect, or close to, skin already.

@twfcah2009: Make Up Forever HD is best- that’s my opinion. It photographs very well and looks amazing in person.
