I went to Sephora and got samples of the following:

-Smashbox light and regular primers

-Make Up For Ever (MUFE) HD foundation

-Lancome 24hr Foundation

-Tarte 12 hour foundation

-Urban Decay All-Nighter Spray

The saleslady was SO helpful, and best of all, I didn’t pay for any of the foundation samples. She told me to apply each (I got 2-3 shades of each) and wear them for a day, preferably when I was doing chores/errands and see how the foundation stood up against heat/sweat, etc. It worked out incredibly well! The MUFE was the absolute best; it didn’t budge during the ENTIRE NIGHT, and I danced for hours! You *must* use a primer underneath, and I HIGHLY suggest getting a travel size of the Urban Decay All-Nighter spray; it’s basically hairspray for your face. Your foundation won’t budge an inch! 🙂

As someone who performed on stage quite a bit and had to endure sweat from spotlights/super heavy costumes, the following products were always the best for me:

-Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush

-Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes waterproof mascara

-Nars Eyeshadow Primer

-Smashbox regular foundation Primer

-(new fave that I used on my wedding day) Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Mexican Rose, blended out with a clear gloss to tone down color (stayed on with only one touch-up during the reception!)

@AllyBernard:  You’re welcome! They have a *ton* of shades, so I really, really recommend not only getting swatched but insist on shades above and below your own in case you tan, etc between now and then. That way, you can mix if you need to. Really, it depends on your skin type. Get them now, and wear them for a week or two to see which brand stands up best. If you have any makeup questions, I’m happy to answer them anytime! I’m a guru. 😀

I’m using what I always use… Clinique City Block SPF 25 and then Clinique CC cream over it. I then dab on Almay concealer wherever I need it.

I agree that the Make Up Forever HD foundation is the best. It gives a really nice finish to the face and it comes in a million colors and undertones. One thing you want to stay away from is SPF, when you use flash on a camera the spf will flashback and make your face seem whiter than what it is. Try the Make Up Forever HD Foundation and if you don’t like it then try to find one with minimal to no spf in it.

MAKE UP FOREVER HD is the BEST. I just bought some a week ago, and I adore it! It evens out my skin tone and gives me a nice, fresh face! If you go to Sephora, they can use new technology to color-match your skin. Go in with a fresh, bare face, and they’ll do the rest!
