Honestly I don’t think primer does anything. As long as I use a moisturizer before makeup, I am good to go. I don’t believe in primers, and I’ve used them and don’t notice a difference!

I like the primer by Pixie you can get at Target. It’s a bit pricey but I thought it was worth it. I also bought it from Zappos. They don’t just sell shoes!

@hotpinkbride:  I think this answer may be different for everyone? Do you have oily skin so you need something to help your foundation stay matte? Or, do you have dry skin like me? I do use primer but I will be totally honest: I NEVER see a big difference in my foundation.

@hotpinkbride:  totally NOT stalking you, but I saw your name in the Houston board…stuck out b/c I thought it was a cute name. I told you Pixie & I want you to know I’m in the Hou area too. So this worked for me on the really gross humid days!

@hotpinkbride:  I think a makeup setting spray would work better for making it stay. I like MUFE primer. I didnt like Nars. I did like Smashbox. I didnt like Eve Pearls or MAC’s either. I agree with a PP…if you exfoliate and moisturize correctly and then just use a great foundation your makeup will look the same as with a good primer. I love the Urban Decay setting spray (used to be called Dew me Up now it is called “Chill”). It helps to set your makeup and make it look “dewy.” Also some good highlighting and/or bronzer will add to all this!

I’ve heard good things about Smashbox Photo Finish primer from Sephora.

@hotpinkbride:  Yes! Sephora has quite a few makeup setting sprays. Have fun!
