Ok, so I really need some advice. I am not great at picking out good makeup. I have been using the same brand since high school. Cover Girl. I have weird skin. It’s not oily, and I don’t break out, it’s normal but I tan easily, have dark brown hair(naturally- it’s blonde now) and freckles(HATE THEM!!!!!) I want that smooth porceline skin look.
I don’t want to spend a small fortune but need something good. Any ideas on foundation/powder, setting powder, primer? Anything will help:)

@mrskisstobe: this will actually be my first post, but as someone who has worked at both Elizabeth Arden and Dior I had to log in and help! 🙂
My all time favorite foundation, and the only one that I would EVER trust on my wedding day is Dior DiorSkin Forever: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P194401
It IS pricey, but well worth it. I wear foundation nearly every day and a bottle usually lasts me 6-8 months at least. It adheres to your skin, yet stays natural looking, in a way that no other foundation does (I swear I don’t work for Dior anymore!). I work out every day on my lunch at work, and all I have to do to refresh my look is blot the sweat of my face (ew) and I’m as good as new. I know that my makeup will look fabulous all day long, and I won’t have to worry about touch ups. It doesn’t crease, slide, or disappear at all. Even if you cry on your wedding day the tears will just roll down your face, and won’t leave tracks in your foundation at all!
I use Studio FX powder with the DiorSkin and I love it too: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P191306&categoryId=B70 When I don’t feel like wearing as much makeup, some moisturizer and the powder are fab for a translucent finish as well.
I cannot tell you how often people compliment me on my skin, telling me that it’s “flawless”. Even the Temptu makeup artist at Sephora insisted that I was wearing airbrush foundation because my skin looked so perfect and, TRUST ME, I do not have perfect skin…just amazing makeup! 🙂
Best of luck!

Have you tried bare minerials? They are running a special on their get started kit right now. It is 59.98 and up for the original kit and they also have a basic get started kit for 29.99.
I use bare minerials and it is great. I like the face wash, foundation and primers. It really does make my skin look and feel tighter.
