If you knew me as my friends know me you’ll know that I’m a HUGE mustache and lips fan. I loved this even before it became in style over the last couple years so when it became in style I have been going crazy buying into the whole “stache” craze.
Fiance and I both didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on wedding glasses that would only be used once and then tucked away never to be seen again. I wanted something fun that I could use again and being a wine drinker I have several fun glasses that I buy online or Halmark stores. I really love the Lolita line.
Last Christmas I found online a mustache wine bottle opener and I got all squeely and told Fiance I would love to have one (which I did get) and while looking online at other such mustache things I found some really cute mustache and lips wine glasses. I mentioned to Fiance how cute would that be for our “Mr & Mrs” glasses at the reception. He was on board with the idea and I said I’d hold off purchasing until our date got closer.
Yesterday the hospital I work for had a craft sale. They do this about 2 times a year. I went to it only planning on buying a new Scentsy holder (since my naughty cats knocked over mine and broke it). While wandering around I saw a stand full of cute personalized tiles, wall hangings, cups, and glasses. They had a really cute jar with a mustache on the front and under it said “My-stache” I thought it was cute. But then behind the jar were an exact replica of the 2 glasses I had looked at online. So I got excited and snatched them up (even though our wedding date is still another 18 months away). I brought them to the sales lady to check out and she says “Do you want them personalized?” At first I thought no I don’t want our names on them because it won’t seem as “wedding-y” then but then an idea formed in my head to have them say “Bride” and “Groom” on the backs. So I had her do that. I then told her I’d be back to purchase glasses for the wedding party and to have our wedding dates added on the base of the glasses.
So without further ado…our wedding glasses. I’m so happy with how they turned out.
EEEK!!! Now I just have to wait to use them.
