I spoke to my reception venue over th eweekend and they told me that the room that I have rented only has 4 person tables. I am doing a destination wedding, and I was dealing with a different person prior ro this convo, and no one had told me about such small tables. We will need at least 13 or 14 :/
I’m really worried about it looking funny and doing the seating chart. Has anyone been to a wedding with small tables or planned on? Can anyone make me feel less nervous about this?

@angelapicklebottom: Are you serving a sit down meal or will your reception be more cocktail style? If it is a sit down meal, I think a positive would be that it would allow for people to talk to one another better at each table.

hmmmm… what shape are the tables? Cant you just put them together like a restaurant would to seat bigger groups? Like 2 four seater rectangular tables next to each other would seat 8 – 10, or 3 four seater square tables would seat 6 – 8.

I am having a buffet style lunch reception. I’m not sure what shape the tabels are right now, I had some trouble getting the girl from the venue back on the phone. We’re supposed to have a call today. If they are square we might be able to put them together, if they are round we are pretty much stuck.

Are they round or square? If they’re square, then they can stack 3 in a row and seat 8 people.
