@cc226: I watch that shw sometimes. I watch it more to see four wedding at one time. I like to see the different styles, colors, etc. Some of the things that they say are mean, but some comments are nice.

I actually really like the show. You get to see a whole range of budgets and ideas. I’m probably watching it more for inspiration than entertainment though. I know I would not want to hear those comments after my wedding. I’m pretty sure they encourage the girls to be catty.

Yep. I feel like the brides have gotten cattier and cattier as the show progresses. Some of the women are nice and grade honestly, but the majority dont.

Lol I am watching it now too.  Yeah it can be pretty catty…. I think the amount of snark can get a bit out of control.  Personally I would never do this show.

Yeah, I gave this show a chance when it first started, but I am totally sick of it now. Seems like all the brides are super snarky, say the nastiest, judgiest things about the other girls’ weddings, and give the others really low ratings like it will up their own chances of winning. It’s fallen off a cliff.

I find that some of the comments on the show are inappropriate and rude. I was really upset when the asian bride (? I forgot her name) SPIT OUT her goat cheese appetizer. How rude! You mean to tell me that grown adults cannot swallow their food and opt not to select it again??

I’ve caught it a couple times and it annoyed me.  They are so nice to each other, they even seem like friends!  But when they are critiquing everyone else’s wedding the claws come out!  And you can tell it’s bc they are looking for something to critique so they can win.  The most ridiculous comment was from a contestant who said that she didn’t like that she couldn’t see the ceremony, and felt like it was blocked off from everyone so she didn’t like it–um…she was referring to the bride and groom being wrapped in a prayer shawl for a Jewish ceremony. So dumb (and disrespectful).

(sheepishly) I actually like that show!  I love seeing the way different women put together their wedding.

Yes, some of the girls can be super catty… but I think it’s pretty close to how it is in real life (the opinions).  They are being asked to give their honest opinions on a wedding.  Who can honestly say they wouldn’t think similar things about a stranger’s wedding – especially if it is so different than what you would plan?

Yes, I think there are nicer ways to say things – but they ARE editing the heck out of that show and I’m sure prompt the girls for specific answers, etc.

I saw one who bashed a girls traditional indian wedding because they don’t kiss. When it came time for that part, she turned her cheek and received a small peck and one of the girls in attendance was like “if my husband gave me a cheap kiss let me tell you”. Well, ever think it’s cultural? I just think that sometimes they try to critique something just because they don’t understand it.
