It might take a little time.  I broke my big toe last January, and ran a marathon in March.  Granted, my running shoes are a lot more comfortable than a pair of heels…  I’m not going to tell you that my big toe wasn’t swollen, painful, and purple at the end of that race, because it sure as shit was, but I WILL tell you it was worth it ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe get a pair of wedge sandals?  The height of the shoes you wear will determine how much, if any, your wedding dress needs to be hemmed, so definitely get something you can wear now so you can have alterations done.  Then, if when the big day comes around you can wear cuter shoes, go for it!

@dazzledbyEddy:  LOL I knew what you meant ๐Ÿ™‚  I think maybe something with a platform (so you get the height without the bending of the toes) might work out.  For the dress, not the race haha!  Oh, and don’t do the 10k on the broken toes.  Personal experience says this is a bad idea.

let me know what you find…i broke my foot a few weeks ago…wedding is in less than 2 months. doc said i could probably wear low heels. PROBABLY. how do you hem a dress to “probably?” Wink  anyway, i may start looking at flats, but it sure wasn’t my vision.
