@Laurpez:  Most places have that policy that the full refund is if you return the item so its not really fraudulant.

It does suck that one dress is damaged like that but could you take it to a local seamstress to salvage it?

Why is it going to cost $185 to ship it back? Am I missing something?

Ugh that sucks.

Is there anyway that you could take it to a local seemstress to have fixed?  Try to get more $ out of Light In The Box first, so it will cover the cost to have it fixed.

Can you not exchange it instead? I know you probably don’t want to work with them anymore, but it may be your best option.

Also, was this dress a customized size? Most dresses that are customized aren’t eligible for a full refund. I don’t think they are fraudulant, but they aren’t demonstrating good customer service for sure.

You can’t claim fraud and not send the dress back. So either you’re out the money in shipping when they refund your money, or you try and get it altered and keep the dress.

@Laurpez:  I doubt this will hold up as a fraudulent charge. Good luck. I think this is crappy customer service, I don’t think its fraud.

@Laurpez:  Gotcha. How long ago did you receive the dress if the wedding has already happened?

I would take the $80. They aren’t demonstrating good service, but I am pretty sure your credit card company will tell you to send the item back if you don’t want to pay for it. Are there no other shipping methods that are cheaper?

Fedex isn’t going to be $185

@Laurpez:  Ugh yeah Canada Post is SO expensive.

If the CC company can’t help, keep trying to get more out of Light in the Box. In the end, take as much money back as you can. Good luck!
