Stay away from salty foods and soda and try to work in some cardio.

Ps. Crystal Light has aspartame in it which I’ve read can contribute to bloating (anyone please correct me if this is wrong!), so just water is probably your best bet!

Good luck 🙂

Cut out all salt- it leads to bloating. Lots and lots of water to flush everything through your system, low carb wouldn’t hurt, and take a deep breath. 10 days is plenty of time, if you have to wear SPANX so be it- its only a couple of hours (and after the ceremony you could probably wriggle out of the spanx once the dress is on and zipped if it is truly that uncomfortable… you’ll just need to get really up close and personal with a friend 🙂 )

@Regina Phalange:  This is what I was going to suggest. Don’t kill yourself trying to lose so much weight in 2 weeks, it’s unhealthy. Take it in to the seamstress and get it altered.

Did you try it one with help or by yourself?  If it was close and was more of a “I really should have had another set of hands to get this zipped” I would be super disciplined about eating/exercise until the wedding.  If its more of a “this dress is a whole size or two too small” type of not zipping- I would say still give the exercise and eating right a try, but go ahead and call up some seamstresses. I would take it to them now and ask what the options are for letting it out- is there still enough material in the seems to loosen it or would it require adding material.  I would then ask what is the latest day you could bring it in and have it fixed in time, and then do your best to lose the weight until then.

As for actually losing the weight- I would go with nothing but water until the wedding.  Crystal light doesn’t have a ton of sugar/calories but anywhere you can cut is going to help.  Look for anyway to add exercise to your day.  Can you manage 20-30 crunches before you hop in the shower, and a walk when you get off work?  Park as far from your job, grocery store etc as possible so you have to walk more.  Every little bit will help.

Oh, also, I have a dress that fits AMAZINGLY (read: hugs every curve) and isn’t at all stretchy, but as a result I can’t get it zipped up myself. So try to have someone else adjust you in it and try to zip it up to see if that helps matters any.

The 10 day 10 lb weight loss kit works pretty well! It’s a colon cleanse so you drop weight fast as it cleans you out.

Then you have these yummy vanilla or chocolate shakes when you need a snack in between meals.

I am eating some Atkins bars and I switch that with a few breakfasts and all of my lunches. With that I have lost 10 pounds. Also, you can try the Special K cereal challenge where you eat their cereal for 2 weeks and you’ll lose 6 or 10 pounds, and from personal experience it works, to try and convience you further I am a plus sized bride losing weight!

I would suggest to either drink Green Tea or take a Green Tea diet pill, it boosts your metabolism! It does wonders for my fiance’.

Also take midol, it relieves bloating. Cut down your portions of food, cut back on your salad dressing and like all girls have said:

  • No Crystal light. This is from personal experience that I am giving you this warning. NO artifical sweetners.
  • Cut out salt.
  • Drink a lot of water.

If water begins to bore you just remember to drink Green Tea!

Good luck! You CAN do this! You WILL look bea-u-ti-ful! Don’t stress, that makes you gain weight!

Since you said you’re going to start your period in a few days, I suspect that there is already some bloating going on (that’s how it works for me). Avoid salty foods and drink a lot of water. Youa should be ok. Hugs!

I would definitely see if someone can help you do it up before you panic too much… I can’t do mine up at all on my own, I literally have to squeeze my shoulder blades together so that my mum can do it up because it is quite structured and then it’s fine

All of the above, plus exercise. You will not lose weight if you don’t do some exercise. Download the Insanity program and do it at home at night, it’s only 40 minutes and you WILL lose weight quickly – and not unhealthily if you haven’t been doing a lot of exercise, your body will just drop it fast naturally. You don’t have to crazy diet, just eat natural foods, drink nothing but water as people have said and EXERCISE 🙂
