So my wedding is in April of 2012. I have been working on so many things in the last 6 months. I had almost completed the guest list (with addresses and info) and the music list. I had finshed a fab bridesmaid newsletter and too many other things to count.
Guess what?!? All gone! I had been saving everything for the last 6 months on a PNY Attach flashdrive. Since I work from 3 different computers depending where I am, I stupidly keep everything on the flash drive.
Two weeks ago the flash drive died. Totally dead I have had three computer co look at it.
Please beware. Don’t save all your stuff to a flash drive or at least back it up.
I just found out the hard way. Now I have to start over from stratch. I had even designed my own invites. Gone.
🙁 I am pretty bummed right now.

I am sorry to hear that! I couldn’t imagine how you are feeling right now. You need to just pick your head up and start over, don’t stay bummed about it. At least you still have plenty of time to start over and get things rolling again. Just make sure you don’t save your new stuff to a flash drive!! 🙂

So sorry!!! Can you take it to a computer person and see if they can recover the info?

Agreed! You can likely find someone to recover the data, it just might cost you $100 or so. I had this happen when I was in college and I got 90% of it back!

That’s such a bummer! Maybe something is left on one of the hard drives? I’m sure it will be a pain in the butt to do everything over again, but on the bright side I think that makes you an expert now!

I agree with PP. I bet most (if not all) can be recovered, but it may cost you.

I just found out that if you’re a AAA member, you get 20-25% off Geek Squad services. That might be an option.

Suggestion for you… Drop Box…. http://www.dropbox.com

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I have already had two services take a look at it. I haven’t tried Geek Squad yet.
I am trying to look at this is a positive light. I had so many projects going on at once, maybe this will help me simplify.
Thanks everyone. Bees are the Best!!!
