The closer I get to the wedding, the more emotional I get about the give-away part of the ceremony. My dad and I are extremely close, and he’s definitely gonna cry, so I KNOW I’m going to be uncontrollably sobbing (I’m an ugly crier too, so even worse.) How can I get through that part of the day without completely losing it at the altar? Or at least, how can I turn the sad tears into happy ones?

@CandieC88: I’ve wondered about this too. I wouldn’t normally cry during the wedding because I will be nervous and I tend to get giggly when I am nervous but my dad is such a crier. Bless his heart. lol And I can’t handle men crying, it gets to me. So if he cries, it’s pretty inevitable that I will shed a few tears too. Hopefully someone has some good advice for us!

It was the only part of the wedding I cried during, and it was just a little. I thought I was going to be a sobbing mess but I just let loose one or two tears. Make sure the bridesmaids and groomsmen are carrying plenty of tissue just in case!

Thanks guys. Glad to know I’m not the only one! I’ll definitely come prepared with tissues!
