I think the current neckline is spectacular. Are you absolutely sure you want to change it? I think it’s modern and sophisticated as hell!

@crayfish:  +1. i think sweethearts are overrated and generally a passing craze.  i love the neckline the way it is, personally. wait until it comes in and you try it on, you may love it the way it is. for me, i’m so overwhelmed with happiness when i put my dress on i don’t notice small things like that. my dress isn’t a sweetheart and i love it that way!

I’m a fan of sweetheart necklines, but I really love the neckline on that dress.  Personally, I wouldn’t change the neckline.  Or at least, I would wait until it comes in and have the seamstress go over your options for alterations.

@laurelewrigley:  Aw, don’t stress. I think it’ll look nice either way. Though, it won’t be a rounded sweetheart. It’ll probably look more like these:

OR they’ll make it really low to achieve that heart shape:

@crayfish:  +100. I love how elegant it looks right now and I am usually a fan of sweetheart necklines

Just wait until it comes in. There’s nothing to do about it now, so don’t stress!!!

I love that dress too!  I had a sweetheart neckline (it came that way), but I agree that I would not alter the neckline.  Its gorgeous!

@laurelewrigley:  It’s this blogger. And you probably can get your dress to look similar since Jim Hjelm likes to utilize built-in corsets (not sure if your dress has one). You’re the Bee who just had a baby, right? Your body is already rocking, love!

And I think sweetheart necklines–esp. ones that are flatter/wider (like the first two photos i posted)–are hot. They’re very vintage bombshell to me.

I love it as is!

I wouldn’t worry until you try it on in person!
