I have been watching the weather forecasts and so far it’s forecasted to rain on my wedding day. This sucks because we had planned to get married outside. Plan B is to have the ceremony in the reception space next door but it is dimly lit and not my vision. Sigh… I know I’m overreacting and weather forecasts are not accurate for 10 days+ but it just sucks to have something like that out of my control.

@imanw: Ooh… on an off note, how do check that far in advanced? (If it isn’t on the news or my phone, I don’t normally check the the weather that far in advance…however we’ve been having freak weather and my cousin is getting married on the 26th too….)
ON topic however, I hear that if it rains on your wedding that is suppose to be good luck! (Not much help, but maybe a little bit?)

I used http://www.accuweather.com. It gives up to a 25 day forecast. I guess all I can do is wait and see.

@GamersBride: I’ve been using http://www.weathertrends360.com/ which starts to give forecasts up to a year in advance. I’m not sure how accurate it is, but I’ve been keeping a very close eye on it!
@imanw: Definitely don’t let yourself get worked up because of rain! It’s something that’s out of your control, and the only control you do have is your reaction. Rain is looking like a very real possibility, so start picturing how beautiful your ceremony will be indoors and if there are any other decorations you want to buy.
My entire day is planned to be outdoors, with an open tent for the reception. If it rains, they won’t rearrange the tables/chairs inside the tent, so I’ve been picturing my ceremony without a traditional aisle, just in case. A few weeks ago I thought I would be devestated without the aisle, but now that I’m getting used to it, I’m sure we can make it work.
You’ve got some time to get yourself to love your Plan B almost as much as your Plan A. It will be a joyous day no matter where your ceremony takes place!

@imanw: I wouldn’t panic just yet, I had engagement photos in Hardy (also in AR) last Saturday accuweather said 78 and sunny until 2 days before and out photog cancellrained poured all day Saturday. Weather is hard to predict, especial in Arkansas so I’d wait before panicking. I’m sure it will be beautiful! I’m also having an outdoor wedding (Hot Springs) so I understand your nervousness completely!
