Try to relax. The fact that it’s dark and was only once is good and would be more towards old blood making it’s way out. Try to be as postitve as possible. I also have been following your story (not a creeper promise) and hope that it is all nothing to worry about. In my thoughts and prayers!

Heathaah- you are about 5-6 weeks right? Can’t they even do a vaginal U/S? I thought they could do those pretty early.

Oh I’m so sorry you are going through this. After what you have been through, you are justified in feeling the way you do.

Praying that everything turns out great and everyone is still healthy and that you have peace of mind!

hope everything is ok! I spotted in the beginning and freaked out too and now I’m 21 weeks without any other complications. Try to stay positive and relaxed:)

I think you’ll be fine! I really do. My doctor actually told me that blood just while wipping is usually nothing to worry about. And that it was brown is a good thing! Stay positive, as hard as it is — it’s truly the best you can do for you and baby.

This is sounding better and better in a scary situation. I think you’ll be just fine!

Also: I’ve known a lot of people who have had transvaginal ultrasounds at 5 weeks. Isn’t that around where you are? I’d ask just for a long shot – it could totally ease your mind if they can perform one.

@heathaah: The fact that the spotting was brown and just once sounds more like the “normal spotting” that many women have. We’re all here for you and sending you lots of sticky baby dust!!!!!!!!
