amazon.com allows you to do that. Fiance and I have a wedding registry there.

@Willow1991:  I have myregistry.com and love it.  You can add from any store (you download a toolbar icon, and when you are on the page of what you want, you click the button) and you can add notes on the item, too.  Also, there is the brick & mortar option – if someone wants to buy a gift, but wants to go get it in person, they can mark it as “purchased elsewhere” and the item will show as purchased.

@Willow1991:  you can add items from any online store to a registry from amazon. We have items from pottery barn, anthropologie, World Market, Barnes and Noble, etc.
