I posted a few weekss ago asking what I should expect from a bridal expo…I got mixed responses, some people said they’re annoying, overwhelming, and crowded. Some people said they had fun a were able to check out vendors and their products (which was what my goal was).
I went with my fewcha husband, my sister (MOH), and my sister-in-law (Bridesmaid)…it was at a casino and my Fiance played slots during the expo fashion show (He had more fun during the rest of the expo than I ever imagined he would, he did the dirty work too by fillng out info for vendors and scoping out free samples).
After we’d seen everything and were ready to grab a bite to eat we remembered the tickets they gave us when we walked in to fill out and put in for some pretty decent prizes. Most of the drawings you had to be there to win so we decided to put in for the two drawings we knew we would still be around for. We put all of our tickets (12 ish total) into drawings for free tuxes at Tuxedo Junction and a free head table decor package.
We grabbed a bite to eat (worst lunch ever, btw..blech) and my sister-in-law and I went to play the slots for a few minutes while my sister and Fiance walked around (my sister didn’t bring her purse and she didn’t have her ID and couldn’t gamble). Our $20 limit lasted about fifteen minutes…we got up to find my sister and Fiance and I checked my phone out of habit…I had a text telling me I had fifteen minutes to claim my prize…We ran (we only had five minutes to make it to the prize area) back to the expo and found out we won! 5 free tuxes (up to $625) …the ladies said they had pulled two other names before mine but neither showed to claim their prize…I lucked out totally!
The bridal expo was so worth the trip! and I felt lucky and couldn’t wait to tell the groomsmen they wouldn’t have to worry about the expense (especially my brother who will be standing in two other weddings in the two months before mine)
