    Directions are just fine.  I DIYed my own map by taking a freeze frame of a map on Google and then adding my own lines in Photoshop and deleting the background.

    Maps are cool, but only if the map would actually be useful. Directions are super handy though. We’re putting lots of directions on our website and just printing directions from the hotel in the invitations, with a small map.

    Just make sure that you do directions from the different directions that your guests might be coming from.  One way streets would be a pain to map!

    We didn’t use either.  Since we had no way of knowing which way people would be arriving from, we figured it was safer just to have our wedding website link to weddingmapper, and not try to include directions in our invitations.

    My guests didn’t even bring their invitations with them (with a custom drawn map and directions).  They just (rudely) called us anytime they wanted directions from A to B.  Like I’m a walking GoogleMaps.  I’d just do written directions.
