(Closed) Freezing homemade cookie dough

I do it all the time. I wrap it in plastic wrap, and then again in foil — and to make things easier down the road, I label it with the baking instructions. Just defrost for about an hour before baking!

If you have room in the freezer, form it into balls first (like on a cookie sheet) then freeze. Later you can take out 1 cookie or as many as you like without defrosting all the dough, and just make a few at a time.

I freeze cookie dough all the time. I do as the PP mentioned: form it into balls, put it on a cookie sheet and pop it in the freezer for a couple of hours. Once they’re frozen, I remove them from the tray and put them in plastic bags labeled with the oven temp and baking time.
