I’m wondering if anyone has a 1.5mm french cut pave band and if so what are your thoughts/experiences? I’m scared of diamonds falling out but if I had it set in platinum, would that make a difference in terms of securing the tiny diamonds? Thanks for any help. Pics and specs greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure if mine exactly fits the description, but I have a VERY skinny band with “micro-pave” setting (this is how it was described to me!) I wear mine to work (in a restaurant), in nursing school, and almost everywhere in between (except the shower). I have have NO problems with the diamonds becoming loose or falling out…
Here is a picture for reference!

My engagement ring and wedding band are both set with French pave in platinum. I have had my engagement ring for almost 3 years and my band for 1 year with absolutely no issues! I made sure that the jewellers who we got the rings from (Kwiat for the engagement ring and Joseph Schubach’s for custom band) were very skilled at doing French pave, so I’m sure the craftsmanship and quality of the rings had a played a role in my non-issues. I also felt more secure going with platinum.
Here are some pictures for you. For reference, the width of my engagment ring shank is about 1.5-1.6 mm, with half-pointers (.005 carat) and a 1.25 carat cushion centre . The width of my wedding band is 1.8 mm (I think!) with 2 point diamonds (.02 carat).
