    Classy and elegant!

    Trashy, trashy, trashy!

    Be careful, it can go either way!

    For the wedding I;m doing an American manicure. It looks much more natural to me.

    @lezlers: agreed, length is a huge factor.  Personally, I love French mani/pedi for special occasions, since I usually wear ‘American’ mani for every day.

    I think trashy is WAY too harsh, but I do think the French Mani is a little dated.

    I think each to his own, but for my wedding I will do a soft color, solid.  I think a french manicure is a little too “been there, done that” for me, anyway.  I was recently at a salon reading the magazine I was reading seemed to have the same impression some of us have on here.

    But at the end of the day it really is what you think is pretty and makes you feel pretty.

    Not trashy, maybe a little dated (in this area at least). Most mags have been showing short colored nails for the past few years. That’s all I wear.

    @lefeymw: I’m not digging that color combination at all, lol.

    @lefeymw:

    Wow, if that’s what’s trendy right now, I’ll stay dated, thanks.  Yech.

    I feel like on acrylic nails of any length, it’s trashy. On natural nails I think it’s totally fine. When I see french tips on acrylic nails I instantly think of porn. About 98% of all the ladies in porn (no matter where it is) have French tip acrylics. So, I associate it with that. :S I do French tips on my own nails but I keep mine short so they don’t really look the same!

    @AudzinLuv:

    I agree.  That is not something I would do either..  I was mostly referring to the first sentence

    “Same ol’-same ol’ pale pink with white-tipped manicure? Yawn.”

    @artichokey:

    99% of the time, porn women have long tips, a la the picture posted above.  Not that I’m a porn connoisseur or anything, but I haven’t seen any chicks in porn with short, natural looking acrylic nails.

    @ribbons: I agree.

    I wouldn’t call french manis “trashy,” but they are a bit dated for where I live.

    Not a fan of acrylics or really french manicures in general. Like others have said they are kinda dated to me.

    I dont like certain types of french manicures because they look unnatural they have extremely white tips that dont look real. I do like the french mani that has a more pearly glaze to it so the tip isnt blinding white but a more natural creamy white.  And I absolutely dont like french pedi.. I feel like toes should have solid colors

    I think fresh manicured toe nails are a little trashy.  Finger nails are only trashy if super long!
