My fiancé and I want to get married in his homeland, New Hampshire. I’ve been looking online (we are living in Toronto Canada, studying). I can’t seem to find a celebrant who could make our dream come true : a bilingual catholic ceremony. French is my native language so it is very important for me that I can (at the very least) say my part of the vows in french.
Since I can’t find anybody in the seacoast area, I’ve tried looking at all New England, and still failed to find at least one person.
Do you guys can help me in my search? Do you guys have experience or are requesting the help of a translator for your ceremony? would it be expensive?
Getting married in Canada would be the easy way the go, bilingual celebrants are everywhere. But my fiancé moved in Canada and transfered universities just to be with me, and I know it is a big sacrifice for him, leaving his friends and having bigger student loans on his shoulders. I feel it is just fair to get married where he’s from. 🙁
I’m so discouraged.
