Hi all, I’m 4wks 5 days pregnant with my first and totally excited but I’m also a worrier by nature and irrationally afraid of having an ectopic pregnancy for some reason! Doctors here will only do the 2 days apart beta test if you are high risk or have previous history of problems so I’m relying on peeing on sticks and seeing the line get darker! Would you guys consider this normal progression? I also got 2-3 weeks on a digital at 14dpo. Also in having little needle like pains on and off mainly on right side the last few days, does that sound normal? Tia

I say this with love – stop testing. No one on the internet can predict the outcome of your pregnancy. Take it one day at a time. If your anxiety is so bad that you are relying on this sort of reassurance, then the anxiety needs to be addressed. Good luck, bee and remember that the odds are always in favour of a healthy pregnancy continuing.

They look good! Try to just put your mind at ease…I know it’s hard the first few weeks.

Put the tests away. You can’t control anything. You are definitely pregnant. You’re at the over thinking it stage, every single twinge feels like something bad. Chances are everything is fine.

Girl, you are going to drive yourself crazy if you keep this up. Stressing over this stuff is not helping your baby! Just take a deep breath and relax.

Stop testing. You’re unnessicarily stressing yourself out. You are pregnant, enjoy it and relax!

I agree, step back and trust your body. I had a mc the first time we got pregnant and I knew something was wrong, I mean I was bleeding so it was a no-brainer but some people bleed their entire pregnancies and have healthy babies but I knew the pregnancy wasn’t normal. I was terrified that when I got pregnant again I would be so stressed the entire time and I haven’t been at all. For me, a normal pregnancy feels so different than my miscarriage. I know it’s tough but hang in there. Just trust that baby is doing everything it needs to right now and take care of yourself.

I had an ecctopic and mine never got dark like that. They stayed light. I think you are fine.
