Sansa85 :  it’s the end of my spring break. I took a six day vacation to visit my two best friends and parents. Now it’s back to reality before the last crunch of the school year. We also have to do our taxes this weekend.

I’ve got 8 weeks of instruction and then finals week and I’ll be off school! Then 7 weeks before baby comes!!! Gunna go into nesting overdrive since I’m not doing any while I’m teaching.

Sansa85 :  Lessee…

We put the 2nd half of our deposit on the venue, and today is 6 months exactly till the wedding!! Eep! We’ve been talking about getting married since April of 2016, so it’s a bit surreal that it is FINALLY GOING TO HAPPEN.

We’re talking/thinking about getting a 2nd puppy. Doggo has a lot of energy and we feel like he needs a friend. Researching breeds, since we feel like 2 Shibas would be more of a handful than we’re ready to contend with. Lookin’ at pictures of puppies as research; could be worse!

Last, I think I am going to go do some test driving this weekend. We have 3 vehicles now, and want to try and consolidate a bit. The ancient and decaying Land Cruiser and my grocery getter need to morph into one thing that is comfortable, reasonably fuel efficient, with at least 3k lbs of towing capacity. I think we’ve narrowed it down to a Ranger Pickup, Tacoma, or Jeep Grand Cherokee. Need to decide which one fits the bill.

Pretty exciting stuff around here! It’s a suburban kalediscope of action!

Well, my week was awesome! I had three job interviews that went splended. One of them was for a receptionist at a psychologist’s office and they said my resume was golden and I felt confident that I answered the questions well, the second one was a job working for the county doing chores for older adults that pays well and has good benefits (including mileage reimbursement that not only covers gas but extra for the wear and tear of the car) and I interviewed well and I got a second interview an hour later on Wednesday and then there was one working as a life skills counselor, but I am not sure about that since it pays a bit lower than average for the stuff I am expected to do, but they seem to really want someone with my background.

I also had a meeting with my job counselor that also went well, she hasn’t been able to reach out to my autism organization that she is collaborating with so I might have to bother the person in charge of my case there because there is kind of a break in communication. She said my job plan covered clerical jobs, but the autism organization is having me apply to other types of jobs that they think I am suitable to do, but she says if I get a non-clerical job that I like, she will just simply revise my plan.

Finally, after a whole headache with finding a therapist, I finally got into one which is good because there is a lot of stuff going on in my life and I don’t feel like crap after appointments which is a good sign.

Anyways, it was a pretty fruitful week and if I keep this up, I probably won’t have to worry about when my fiance and I move in together like I have been when I first got engaged.

Got some sad news today from someone I care about that his wife died unexpectedly.  I never met her but he talked so fondly of her. I know funeral costs will be a struggle for him and his family.  I feel so heartsick for him.

I got some good news from Darling Husband today, he called at lunch time and asked if I wanted to go on a date tomorrow. We’ve had a lot going on & I feel like I haven’t been properly out in forever.

Other good news is we will soon be home shopping and the house we have our eye on is still available, it lives another day.  I’m sure it will be long gone by the time we’re ready to seriously pursue but I’ll ride the fantasy while I can.

  • I have a massage scheduled for this afternoon (was complimentary as I pre-paid for 6 months membership fees at my local fitness studio). I’m very excited, but I have no clue what to have her “do”?? Any tips?
  • Tomorrow is a Bridal Open House at my venue, and I’m going with a non-BM friend who may be getting engaged in the near future. I’m down for free apps and getting a sneak-peek at our venue “set up”.
  • I’m feeling very overwhelmed with working 1 full time job, 1 part time job, 2 college courses (senior in accounting), planning a wedding, and trying to save money. I feel like every thing I do to help in one way hurts me in another. Fiance is being very supportive, but I keep binge eating and lashing out. Not sure what to do.
  • It’s really nice out here today, maybe we’ll go for a hike after massage & dinner at home.

Hubby usually works 4 days on and 4 days off. His work were having a deadline issue couple that with a lot of new staff so they asked him to do 8 straight days of nightshift to help with the work flow and training of new team members . He finishes at 6am today and I’m excited to spend some quality time with him. He told me yesterday that he’s going to go to shops straight after work and that he’s cooking a  romantic 3 course dinner for us and that I’m to stay out of the kitchen because he’ll be prepping dinner. I was also told I can’t look in the fridge because dinner is to be a surprise. Looking forward to dinner and date night with hubby. Missed him so much this week as we literally had one of us hop into bed as the other one left. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Also having all my nieces and nephews over on Sunday. I’m looking forward to spending time with them as they crack me up and I miss them when I don’t see them as much.

Man you know you’re an old lady in your 30s when date night at  home and spending time with kids is an exciting weekend to you!!!! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ My twenty year old self would totally disown me right now!

I accompanied my son’s class on a field trip, 25 4-5-year-olds if I wasn’t waiting to test I would be drinking pretty heavily.
