My mass/ceremony at that church starts at 4pm.

Cocktail hour starts at catering hall at 7:30.

Church is maybe 15 minutes from catering hall but several folks will be checking into their hotel after the ceremony where they can catch a shuttle. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the catering hall.

Guests are welcome to arrive at 7pm to the catering hall.

We want plenty of time for pictures so we can enjoy our cocktail hour so I may actually start the ceremony at 3:30. Then I can have a receiving line and not feel rushed. Fiance and I are not doing pictures with each other prior to the ceremony and there are a lot of grounds at the country club that I can arrive two hours before the cocktail hour to take advantage of!

We are getting married on a Friday and our ceremony is at 3:00pm.  Receiving line starting around  5:30 and estimating dinner at 6:30pm.  We have spoken with majority of our guests and they are perfectly fine to take either the day off work or half day vacation.   I guess it depends on your guests who REALLY want to be there.   Worst case people will come for dinner.  So far only 1 person won’t be able to attend the ceremony due to the time on Friday.   However, I’m sure if you had the wedding on the Saturday not everyone would able to attend anyways so you need to do what is best for you and your fiance.  All the important people in your life will be there no matter what day of the week or time it is! Congrat’s on your engagement!
