Oh man- get well soon!!
Win: It’s like 60 degrees here in DC today! Perfect weather to get out there and shop 🙂
Fail: I work at a school and our afternoon buses were running 45 minutes late to come and take the kiddos home. For my special ed students that’s a BIG deal. Heaven forbid everything should run according to plan on our last day before vacation!!

Okay I shared a fail earlier today and now I can share a win!
After work I went straight to the mall, where I got a parking spot right near the door, zipped in and found a bunch of presents I was looking for right away. I popped into a hair salon who had an opening so I got my hair cut, and it was really inexpensive which was nice for a change. Then I found one of those GIANT Toblerone bars and bought it for my stepdad for Xmas. All this in the space of 1.5 hours!

I bought the premium carwash today to get all of the salt off of my car since I saw that it is supposed to be in the 60s after a week of nothing but snow. I checked the forecast literally while I was in the middle of the wash only to find out that it’s supposed to rain for the next two days. Should have gotten the cheap-o wash!

It was a win for me today because it was the last day of school before the break! We had our Secret Santa exchange, and one of my fellow teachers got me a Big Bang Theory calendar and a movie giftcard! I also received an amazing compliment from my principal. Yes, it was a day full of wins!

I’m working (in the evening) of the 23rd, off the 24th and working on the 25th. Cause you know, people gotta get drunk on Christmas Day evening. At least I don’t have to work in the morning.

It isn’t Friday right now, but I’m having a win, I suppose.
I was supposed to work 10 hours today, but due to a fail that is no fault of anyone’s but the department manager, my whole shift was covered by casuals. When I spoke to the boss about it, I offered to take annual leave…and they accepted! 3 days before Christmas! Got the Christmas food shopping out of the way, which means every single piece of Christmas shopping is DONE. My husband is going to work at his new job today. I count that as a win because it’s a far better job than the one he’s currently got – yes, the man who was out of work now has two jobs!
The only fail today has produced so far is my house that needs a huge clean.
