I would do fried chicken, Mac and cheese, rolls/biscuits/cornbread, mashed potatoes and gravy, some kind of veggie for the people who eat those.

Make sure they have hot sauce.

Yes! Above plus always coleslaw plzzzz. I like having something with a little zest to balance all the richness.

My only concern with this would be how fancy is the wedding?  I love me some fried chicken but I only eat it at home, with a million papertowels next to me and in grungy clothing cause I am messy like that.  If it were a dressed up affair, I probably would not partake.  But I would be salivating over the fried chicken…..

Would there be other entree options? As PP said, it may not be ideal in a more fancy setting. Greasy, delicious chicken and nice dresses don’t really mix well! If it’s more of a backyard/casual wedding, then I think it’d be fine. I like my fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, mac & cheese. Maybe a salad for good measure?

jmm23 :  I love fried chicken. I like mine with mac&cheese, cole slaw, and broccoli with cheese 🙂 Rolls are good too. I would add a few fruit and veggie platters. When I think of fried chicken, I have to think of sweet tea 🙂

Fried chicken is delicious, however for a wedding I’d do it as boneless pieces that could be eaten with a knife and fork so guests can keep themselves clean.

Mashed potato is also a great choice for a side, and is a standard wedding meal side too, with maybe some grilled veggies or a salad.

Fried chicken are delicious and I like to cook it on  picnic with my coworkers. But it is nice dish for wedding ceremony too. I like to put chicken on the special food boxes, which I ordered on the [link removed]  think it is useful things in use, and you can use them during your wedding ceremony.

My little sister did this for her wedding but they also offered some grilled chicken as well.

They had potato salad and macaroni salad.

I would have prefered only one of the above and then mac n cheese with a roll plus regular salad.

Damn! potato salad or mashed potato with some coleslaw would be an awesome combination!
