@makemake:   It probably isn’t that she is copying your style – you probably just have similar style to begin with!

I agree with this.

If someone I knew had a ring that was what I wanted as well, I certainly wouldn’t pass up my chance of getting what I loved just because someone else I knew had it.

I’m curious to see a picture of this ring. I think it’s quite common for people to have similar rings… I have a solitaire with sidestones on the setting… I’m pretty sure more than half of the bees out there have the same style!

Where did you  purchase your ring? Local jeweler? Chain store?

I would be upset too..

Im not one that feels they have to be unique per say but i had about 11 friends get engaged the year before and the year I got engaged and about 7 of them had the same ring.. a round brilliant with a halo.. (you can get that anywhere right?)

I personally dont mind having the same clothes, shoes, even bathing suits as other people but when it came to my e-ring I knew I wanted something that I wouldnt see on any of my friends.. yes I agree it is unlikely that NO ONE else in the world has this ring because even though it was custom- made it was still put on the jewelers website. However if I was going to be wearing this everyday I knew that I wanted something that was just like me.

Just try and look past this and know that she saw your ring and obviously she was jealous enough of you that she needed to make herself feel better being just like you… No reason to cause anymore friction however I do think it was a pretty low move on her part.

There was a girl on Pricescope a couple of years ago that found a ring she loved. It was an antique and she went to an antique specialist to have the rig recreated because the original was falling apart. EVERYONE admired that ring and eventually one girl contacted that same jeweler, who was popular on Pricescope and had the ring recreated for her.   The original owner went bat$hit  Pulling all her photos and posts and left in a huff…meanwhile life went on and several others who had long since saved photos of the coveyed ring had various versions made.  In the end..life went on, and I bet yours will too.  I note you have not answered the numerous requests to post photos.  I dug through a previnous thread and from your photo, the ring looks like millions of other three stone rings we’ve all seen at the mall jewelry stores. Seriously, move on! You’re wasting time and energy being irritated.  Many girls don’t even chose their rings. She may have very well said I want that one and he went out and got the EXACT ring, which was obviously not difficult for him to locate.  she owes you NOTHING and neither does anyone else getting married for that matter.  Enjoy your engagmen. & let them enjoy theirs!

I think I’d be more peeved off if I didn’t have the ring, showed her what I wanted, and she get it before me.    LOL
