@dreamwedding4us:  I totally understand how hurt and betrayed you must be feeling. I get that (Promise!) and you must be beyond thrilled with your proposal. I just think that threads like this, where brides try and raise money for their wedding from their guests, show peoples true reactions to such concepts – regardless of personalities involved, it normally goes very badly for the couple.

Congratulations again, but try and take from this (If you want) that there might be better ways of funding your big day! Please stick around, this is a great site.

@valintine:  I know that their friendship is damaged, I just figured it would prevent more nasty comments and other media outlets picking up on it.

@dreamwedding4us:  I have a weak spot for the underdog!

It was an easy decision for me to make….donate a fistful of bucks to the girl scouts and get some yummy cookies that would sink right to my thighs or help a pretty damn awesome Canadian get her dream wedding?

Hey all! This thread seems to have come to a resolution of sorts, so I’m going to close so we can catch up on flags/review. Thanks!

I really hope you think long and hard about keeping your friendship with OP. She saw what she started and never once stood up for you.
