Conga Rats Y’all!
for fucks sake i’ve brought this up in a few other threads but no one likes me, so i’ve gotten no responses.
i never noticed until i started coming to this website that people will use the wrong form of a word/drop the last letter off of a word.
like saying “use to” instead of “used to” and “suppose to” instead of “supposed to”
it drives me crazy. anyone with me?
It’s per se, not per say!
Also, one particular poster pissed me off with the following:
This is a garter.
This is a garter belt.
There’s a fucking difference!
I give my congratulations to those who do not type “congradulations”.
I could go on for hours…
You “bustle” your gown, you don’t “bussel” it.
Your wedding shoes may have had “heels”, but they certainly don’t have “heals”
i cannot “alternate” your gown. Likewise, I am not an alternator, I’m a seamstress. One is a person who sews, the other is a part of a vehicles engine.
Men wear suits, not suites. One is a clothing ensemble, the other is a large room with an attached restroom.
Yup, I know. All the spelling problems drive me crazy too. Especially the problems with “fiance/fiancee.” Argh!
I use an iPad and it just loves to autocorrect like crazy. Can’t wait to get my laptop.
I love you all.
