- Wedding: August 2012
To try to make a really long story much shorter, I had asked a friend of mine to be a brides’maid’. He’s gay and looks better in chick clothes than i do most of the time, and another old friend to be my matron of honor. I also have three other very close girlfriends that live in my same area that should probably be in my wedding. My Maid/Matron of Honor is not working out (she’s rather flaky and I knew this going in but couldn’t choose between my other girlfriends for fear it would hurt them) and while I could just have him and the three girls as bridesmaids, I wouldn’t have any of my good friends left in the audience when I get married.
Am I being totally selfish? I feel like I should at least have a couple of the people that see me regularly (my family lives in another state) sitting in the audience, rather than standing next to me. I have been hoping that the fiance’s groom’s men choice would help decide for me (if he picked two, then I would logically have to do the same) but he’s fine with none since he knows my Maid/Matron of Honor issues.
Maybe I am overthinking this?
