    What exactly do you mean?

I don’t like people trying to get me to “like” pages they’ve set up to peddle their Avon crap, whatever cutesy homemade shite they’re making, or to gush about what an amazing photographer they are because they made a sunset look pretty, especially if they’re really pushy about it.

I’m not a fan of people tagging me in anything, though. I don’t want the whole world knowing where I am, especially if it’s something pointless like “At work with @LadyElva. LOL!”

I don’t mind it every now and then. If someone wants me to “like” their facebook page or sends me an event request for a work-thingy or an email periodically, like a couple times a year, sure, whatever. If you take it to the extreme of one “club promoter” I know, who sends mass texts a couple times a week to “come get krunk at da club” then no that is not acceptable.

@SamanthaLovesJames:  What do you mean? On facebook?

I have one friend who (almost) only uses facebook to promote her business. I hide her updates because I’m too nice to unfriend her.

If it’s very occasional, I don’t mind. But most of my friends don’t work in my field (and I refuse to friend work colleagues) so it hardly ever happens.

I don’t mind if it’s every now and then. If it’s everyday you can defriend them or set your preferences so you can approve tags.

I don’t mind if they advertise their business but don’t tag me.

As someone with a business page on facebook, having likes on the page and on various photos really boosts the amount of people you can reach. I try my best to like a business post for others every now and then on the off chance that one of my friends will be interested in whatever is being sold. I hope that those who like my facebook business would do the same.

I don’t use facebook exclusively though, and I understand that updates every few hours are just as bad as those people who have to update you on how much they love their boo constantly. I do, however, think that if you ‘liked’ the business page in the first place you have no grounds to be annoyed by any posts popping up in your newsfeed.

ETA: if they’re actively tagging you than I’m assuming you’ve mentioned before that you may be interested. If not it’s a little pushy but I’d just ignore it and not get too annoyed.
