So, I have now less than 4 weeks until the wedding. And after taking great care with everything, it seems my body is showing it’s stress through giving up on being pretty. My isuues?
1. Face – just as I finally get it lovely, pimple-free etc, I now have patches of ecsma on my face. Last time I had this was when I was studying for my exams.
2. Dandruff (and grey hair!). I have been so careful, using mild shampoos, rarely hairdrying/styling with heated appliances etc so that my scalp gets to rest and doesn’t break out to resemple the North Pole.
3. Folliculitis on my back – lovely boils – maybe I’ll stick diamantes on each one to hide them….
4. My nails! My beautiful nails! I am certain they were cursed because everybody comments on how lucky I am to have naturally strong nails that are long in the finger and how I don’t need falsies (never worn them because I don’t want to weaken the nail). And what happens? I somehow managed to ruin them against the frigging cheese-grater! Lovely scabs and jaggered nails I can’t even trim to be level, and falsies look impossible because I’m scared of putting superglue so close to open wounds!
Argggghhhh! My body is giving up on me!!!!

Sounds like you need to treat yourself a bit – why not find some spare money for facials, or massages, or simply just time to do things that you know de-stress you. Plenty of time, don’t worry 🙂

@Cariad: You’ve still got four weeks. Just don’t freak out (that’ll make it worse!), and I’m sure everything will resolve 🙂
Also, I actually use superglue on cuts that keep on opening, like when I gash my knuckle or something. Yeah, dunno if it’s super great for it, but it always works…

@Cariad: start taking hair skin and nail vitamins – went to GNC, they make a huge difference and a month is plenty of time to see results.

Will go to the pharmacist now to stock up! Thanks for the advice!

I heard somewhere that pre wedding it’s perfectly acceptable to go to your doctor for treatment of spots. Maybe there is something they can do for you other ails?
I’ve used TCP on folliculitis before, stinks but well worth it.
Nails should grow back enough in the next few weeks to make then level.
Drink plenty of water, and relax. Stress will only make it worse.
Best of luck. X

dont stress 4 weeks is plenty of time , celebs have even worse things happen and get red carpet ready , you will be fine, right shampoo, vist a beauty spa, good nail tech’s should be able to work something out if need be , just think maybe this is the worst and there for it only gets better 🙂
