I feel your pain girl!!  I have naturally curly, thick hair that can frizz unbelievably!  I got married on the beach in MX with a hurricane in the ocean!  It was so humid my hair (that I wore naturally curly) wouldn’t even dry on my wedding day!  My best advice to you is check out naturallycurly.com.  I discovered it a month after my wedding and am so mad I didn’t find it before!  My hair is much better now that I’ve layed off with the sulfates and silicones and am giving my hair what it needs instead of covering up the problem with silicones.  Good luck!

I use leave-in conditioner in my hair every morning (followed by a mousse if I blow-dry).  The only two leave-in conditioners I like are Fructis Sleek and Shine leave-in conditioner balm and Aussie hair-insurance leave-in conditioner spray.  They really make all the difference.  Try one … they’re pretty inexpensive ($3/each) and you can get them pretty much anywhere.

that’s part of the reason i went for an updo. as much as i would love a half-down style, my hair would quickly turn into a hot mess.

I’m doing an up-do and having my hair lady lock it in place! No matter what product I use if my hair is down it will look like cousin it in humidity.

I just did a keratin treatment at the beginning of this month and let me tell you, I can finally fix my hair!!! I literally couldn’t dry the top layer and NEVER wore it down.  It’s not like you get new flat, straight hair, it’s like you get thick, cooperative hair.  It was raining this morning, I didn’t use my umbrella and my hair looks the same!!!  Normally when there is any humidity at all, it looks like those commercials for dry hair where the girl walks out of the house with nice hair and into work with a hot mess.  It’s a bit expensive, but I think it’s worth it.

I have curly hair that frizzes super fast in the summer. The one never fail solution I found is Got 2 Be Glued hair glue. It comes in a yellow tube and is intended for spikes but works wonders on curls. I used this for my beach wedding and don’t have any complaints. I also bought a mouse from the same brand called fat hair or something with fat in the title for extra volume. Apply the glue to wet hair much like you would gel and scrunch for curls you should be good through wind, rain and humidity. Test it out before hand of course.

I know this is a random product, I discovered its powere in college when borrowing it from a boyfriend and rely on it for the most difficult situations it’s kind of annoying for daily use because it’s waterproof and thus requires daily washing which is not good for the curls.
