Here are some pictures of my Frozen inspired summer wedding decor. I am going to have these wonderful LED Costco trees scattered throughout and the lanterns will placed on each table. I also included a picture of my bridesmaid dress & my hair inspiration. I of course won’t include anything tacky like pictures of the characters or snowballs. 😉 I posted a thread earlier and was met with dissapointment from people saying Frozen is only for children, so perhaps I didn’t explain it well enough. However, I have no problem being child-like & having an imagination!

What do you think?
(Please don’t comment this should be done in the winter – having it done in the summer is precisly the point!)

I think if you just use the movie as a basic inspiration like above you should be okay. Keep to just similar colors, styles, and feel. Anything re-interpreted too literally will look cheesy and immature unfortunately.

Sorry people responded negatively before, do what you like if it makes you and your FI happy! I work with 5 year olds and the other day one of them told me I looked like Queen Elsa and I almost died of happiness haha – so it may have been made for children but you are well within your rights to enjoy it! I really like the lanterns and your plans for your hair. What is your dress goig to be like?

Proinceas: Thank you! And yes being called Elsa is a major compliment hehe! My dress is “Jayla” by Maggie Sottero.

Almost anything can be a theme for a wedding if it is used in a subtle manner. Some people just take everything too literally and aren’t able to see the big picture.

I love the color of the BM dresses! Almost perfectly match the color of Elsa’s dress 🙂

I think it’s pretty. 🙂 It is a little different that you’re doing Frozen in the summer, but it’ll be so different from normal summer weddings that are always either Great Gatsby or Country Chic (not that there’s anything wrong with those, but still, it’ll be different). It isn’t tacky at all; and I love the colors of those bridesmaid dresses <3 (especially the one with the lace top)

CourtChuk: I used “Heimr Arnaldalr” from Frozen as my entrance song – so no judgement here! Love the tree!

I love the look of it! I’m having a similar color scheme (and using lanterns too), but doing it in Winter… I’ve had to tell people that it’s NOT Frozen themed on purpose, just because it’s so popular right now they assume it is, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
If you don’t mind a tip: Since it looks like you’ll be getting married next summer, keep an eye out for Christmas/Winter clearance this year. Last year, FI and I found the best colors for this at Home Depot of all places. We cleaned up on clearance deals- think 75-80% off on everything!

That looks pretty! Reminds me of Christmas in July parties people have

Did you see that Disney/Alfred Angelo just released the “Frozen” inspired wedding dress?

CourtChuk: I think this is amazing, to do a Frozen themed wedding in summer. How truly original. Do you have an update on your whole wedding theme? I’m super curious!

CourtChuk: My husband and I saw Frozen three times in the theater, twice after buying the DVD, and he bought me a stuffed Olaf for Christmas, so if Frozen is just for kids then he and I must be five years old 😀 I think your decor looks awesome, those are seriously gorgeous bridesmaid dresses (I would buy the one on the right in a heartbeat). What are you planning for flowers?
Ooo you could cut your cake to “In Summer.” Also yeah, doing it in winter would make no sense!

CourtChuk: If you’re having dancing with modern music, it might be cool to do a techno/club remix of “Let It Go” later in the evening, when everyone’s really partying! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7H5kjmtLF0
