Hi ladies, I have been driving myself crazy over the last week over whether or not I could be pregnant. I definately feel “off”. I ovulated on 11/05 and gave in about 30 mins ago with a HPT. BFN. 🙁
Is it too soon? Has anyone ever tried testing as early as I have and gotten a negative only to find out later you were pregnant?

@MrsJ19: too soon; I got a BFP at 7DPO with my son, but that was the exception, not the rule. Wait at least two days (better to wait 4+) before testing again. If you’ve got internet cheapies to burn, pee away, but I wouldn’t waste a name brand on it until at least 10DPO

@inspiredcreations: I will give it another 4 days and try my best to keep positive. It was a let down but I know it’s early.

WAAAAY to soon! The egg typically doesn’t even implant until 8-9 DPO.
When I was TTC, I had negative tests at 10 & 11 DPO. Got [very faint] BFP 12 DPO.
Here was my BFP chart if it helps. I had an implantation dip at 8 DPO too, but that’s not something all women get. (And if you get it, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pregnant either.)
I obsessed over the implantation dip, you can read about it here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/implantation-dip-help-with-translation-please

Yep, wait until at least 12 DPO…hang in there!

@abbyful: Thank you for the info! It made me feel better. This is our first shot at TTC so I’m all wound up over it.
@peaches13: Thanks, I will! 🙂

@MrsJ19: Yep, WAY too soon!!! I was a testing addict, but I told myself I would let myself get disappointed until I was getting negatives at 12 DPO (I had an 11-12 day luteal phase). The first time I got pregnant, I started testing at 8 DPO and got a positive at 11 or 12 DPO. The second time I got pregnant, I started testing at 8 DPO and got a very, very, faint positive on a Wondfo.

Way too soon. I got my faint BFP 10 DPO. Try again in a few days.

I’m not an expert, but I do agree, way too early. Although I wasn’t keeping track of ovulation, I do know that when I was pregnant with my daughter I tested the day my period was due and got a negative. 5 days later I got a faint positive. She’s now 2 years old. Good luck! 🙂
