I am having a small Jewish wedding at the Wynn Las Vegas in June in one of the chapels. I chose the most basic ceremony package, which includes a plain 14 rose bouquet and my groom’s boutineer. It is $150 extra to rent their huppah (Jewish canopy to stand under). That is just a plain stand that looks much like a beach tent, so we need to have it draped in white. That’s an extra $350. So, we are already spending $500 on just the huppah. I asked my consultant how much it would be to have a small floral arrangement (nose gay) of daisies and roses added to the front two poles where the draping ties, about half way down. She quoted an additional $500. I also wanted to add some small white daisies to my plain rose bouquet. She said another $125. They charge $200 just for rose petals and $140 for an aisle runner to put them on.
Now- I know there is a huge markup for wedding flowers, but this seems excessive. It’s funny because I find their photography prices to be very reasonable. We are not allowed to use any outside decorations, so I guess I will just have everything plain. Is anyone else experiencing something like this? Thanks for listening. I am frustrated!

Sorry you’re going through that. $500 isn’t bad for the huppah. I paid $750 for mine without flowers, although it wasn’t technically a huppah. We added the flowers ourselves. Sucks that yOu can’t bring in outside decor or I’d say do some of it yourself. I would say forgo the daisies unless you really want them because an extra $125 is a ripoff. Daisies aren’t that expensive.

@T12ubeauty: Thanks for the kind words. If I got the floral on the huppah, it would end up being a total of $1000. It’s already $500 for the plain draped huppah and an extra $500 foTito small nosegays on the two front poles.
My mom wants me to get the aisle runner and add the rose petals so there is some form of decoration in the room. That would be an extra $340.
Definitely skipping the daisies in the bouquet. My sister said, “Those had better be some gold plated daisies!” :

um… That’s supposed to say “for the” not “foTito”. What is with autocorrect? Haha

I think when you look back on your pictures, you won’t miss the (ridiculously overpriced) flowers. I personally would put the $500 elsewhere (a vacation!!!).

Eek! $350 for a runner & petals! I hope those are real petals ans not fake!
