- Wedding: September 2012
I’ve been having a very difficult time trying to plan where I want to have our wedding and how many people to be there etc. My fiance’s mom came over today and said that she was telling one of my fiance’s cousins about how I bought my dress and how we are thinking about having the wedding down in Georgia. Then she says that his cousin made a face and said in a rude tone “Why?! Because it’s cheaper down there?”
UGHHHH! #1. Just because it is in the south doesn’t mean it is automatically cheaper.
#2. Yes, I am looking at more cost worthy things. We want a wedding but do not want to spend a whole lot and would like to save some money!
#3. The south is where I spent half of my life. . . of course we are considering it as an option.
#4. In my opinion there are more beautiful options down south. Mountains, waterfalls, beautiful fall colors in the autumn . . . not city.
His mom is finally seeing things our way with saving the money and doing something small.
His cousin. . . is one of the reasons that is pushing me to smaller (close friends and family or just our parents and Maid of Honor /Best Man). I’m so sick of the drama from his family that thinks that a wedding will be tacky if we don’t spend $30,000.
