I’m wearing Frye boots right now! I have three pairs, and there is a huge difference in the comfort level of each. These most closely resemble a short pair of mine, that are my most comfortable, but I would not call them walking shoes by any means. I obviously love Frye boots, and I know they are like “the boot brand” but maybe consider other brands if you are going to be using them for a lot of walking. Frye boots are no where near the comfort of brands like Merrel, Birkenstock, Clarks, etc.

Just to let you know, Nordstrom Rack has Frye boots on sale right now. Not sure if they have that style though.

I have Frye boots, but not this specific style. They’re comfortable and I find that they do stretch out in the calf area over time (but not to the point of loose). Mine had a 3″ heel and I still found them quite comfortable for walking around. That being said, I normally wear heels so perhaps my idea of comfort is skewed. I also don’t walk around literally everywhere I go. I don’t know if it’s by virtual of it having a higher heel, but I found that my initial heel from Frye wore down somewhat quickly and I had to have that reheeled by my cobbler. Not a major issue, but I thought I would put it out there.

I have a few pairs of Frye boots/booties, but mine all have heels. Maybe the flat ones are better, but I wouldn’t consider them amazing walking shoes. And maybe you’re already aware of this, but 6pm.com often has them quite a bit cheaper than zappos depending on what color you’re looking for. Shoes.com also has them cheaper and offers free returns.

I LOVE my Frye boots! Not that specific style, I have the Melissa ones. I have only had them one season but I love them, I don’t find that they are slippery at all! Also, I wear them all day at work and such and I work at a school so I walk a LOT and they are very comfortble to me! And they smell amazing when they come out of the box :p

I have these exact boots in the grey antique leather shade (I don’t think they are on zappos in this color). They are amazing!! So, so comfortable, no slip, and they last FOREVER. Very good quality.

I get SO many compliments on these boots.

Here are what mine look like. I think this picture demonstrates how slouchy they are in real life. The zappos pics make them look a little stiffer than they are.

I LOVE my Frye boots, and have converted a friend into them. They’re durable and comfortable and I just adore the damn things. I could absolutely walk 5 miles and more in them.

They are leather, and that does mean they are meant to break in and mold to you. If you don’t want your boots getting scuffed, I would say wear them around the house while doing chores or stand in them as you watch TV. Leather will stretch where it is pressed, so it id often reccomended to get shoes that are slightly snug and let them mold to you.
