Yeah i agree with PPs… at first i was expecting to read that you offered the phone in front of the kids and she said no and that made her the bad guy. its always a bad idea to offer/give kids anything without running it by mom and dad first. but you didnt do that! but you directly asked HER! what a witch with a capital B!

That is crazy. You were just trying to be nice, no reason for her to go off the handle.

By The Way.. I think you can still sell it. Try craigslist. People will buy anything,  a lot of people know how to fix things and re-sell them for  more money. It’s worth a try. I’ve also seen booths at the mall who will buy iphones even if they are broken.

I don’t see how you didn’t make it their decision.  That’s why you called and asked her to decide.  She’s being a nutter.  Just ignore it.

@orchidaloha:  Super overreaction. i could understand if you offered the phone to the kids, but you offered it to their mom to give to them. She’s nuts.

Wow, what an odd reaction. Maybe she was having a drama-less week, and needed some excitement, haha!

@orchidaloha:  If you had just straight up HANDED THE KID A PHONE without asking her, she’d be right to be pissed. But all you did was texted her and offer your semi-busted phone to her kiddies? Chill the hell out, lady.

That’s totally weird. If you usually get along really well, maybe just try to chalk this up to something else that might be going on in her life?

WTF is wrong with her, what you did was such a kind gesture and offered in the right way. Is she a bit of a drama queen?

She’s a total nutter. You totally handled it the right way. You made a suggestion. You didn’t circumvent her parenting. I don’t understand why she took it that way.
