It’s 150% none of her business. She always has the option of giving you cash/a check or a gift card.

P.S. I loathe chronic complainers. My in-laws are the worst. I swear they like to do it to draw attention to themselves.

This is not something to be concerned about!

Its 2015.. Her views on online shopping are just as asinine as her needing to point out how bad your registry is.

Tell her the registry is just a suggestion. She can buy you whatever she wants. She sounds lovely.

Is EVERYthing you want only available online? If yes, I could maybe understand a bit as some people don’t know how to shop online and I do think it’s fair to give a few in-store options. But as I doubt that’s actually the case, then your Future Sister-In-Law can seriously 100% butt out. It’s NONE of her business if she likes what you guys registered for. My cousin straight up told me and Fiance that she thinks the dishes we registered for are hideous. It stung, but that’s her opinion and she was mostly saying it in jest and it’s not like she told us we have to change them (which I don’t intend to as I love them). You don’t have to change what you want for anybody but yourselves.

bellweddingoct2015:  Just tell her you are sorry she feels this way. She is under no obligation to purchase a gift from the registry, and it was really rude of her to complain to you.

if a person doesn’t like shopping online or doesn’t know how, they can give you a gift card. that’s a really dumb thing to complain about.

She sounds delightful. Bless her heart.

If she hates it, she can get you a gift card or cash. End of story.

Perhaps she’s going to use this as an excuse to not buy you anything?

Also, make sure you have enough stuff in the cheaper zone ($10-40) just in case it’s a veiled price complaint.

2XMOB:  “Bless her heart” is another good one. 😉
