Does this kind of foundation exist? I tried so many foundations from MUFE, Shu, Cle de Peau, MAC, Prescriptives, By Terry, La Mer, Mineral Makeup. Some of them aren’t full coverage but they wear better at the end of the day. Some of them are full coverage but they end up caking badly on my skin.
I have really oily skin. I’m also acne-prone but not as much as I used to be. I still have alot of dark marks though :(. Also, I’m medium toned (MAC NC35)
I booked a makeup artist and she uses Shiseido. She said I can also bring any foundation in and she’ll use it. I was looking at Estee Lauder Double Wear for its longevity but I read that it can give you a white cast in pics since it has SPF.
So what are you oily/acne proned girls using as your foundation??

You need to use a primer, that will really really help. I am using smash box primer and foundation. When I first used it the coverage to me wasn’t that great, but I took some pictures and my face looked flawless. I really recommend it, and it lasts all day. I wore them to my engagement shoot and I was crying over something on the way home. All makeup was smashbox none of it budged. Only my cheap non waterproof mascara came off

I recommend using a primer for sure – it really helps keep everything on. I use the Makeup Forever HD Invisible Coverage foundation, and it always looks great even at the end of the day.I also have oily/acne-prone skin, and this makes my skin look flawless in person and in pictures.

I love Kevyn Aucoin’s liquid airbrush foundation.

Try Diorskin Nude. Their color range is kind of wonky, so definitely go to Sephora or a counter and try to find a match (rather than ordering online) and get a sample to see how it wears on you.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation is without a doubt the holy grail of oily skinned-shiny girls. It is a little pricy ($35ish), but it lasts all day long and provides a matte finish. It gives med-full coverage, and doesn’t change colors throughout the day like some foundations seem to do. If you’re looking for lighter coverage, there’s a lighter version of it as well called Double Wear Light. The tones are more on the golden-yellow side though so if you’re a pink toned girl it might not work as well. You can always go to anywhere that sells Estee Lauder and a makeup counter and have the salesperson let you try it out then you can take some practice pics and try it out. I’ve never noticed the ghost look but I am already quite pale so I can’t completely say.
I love Bare Escentuals also. I normally throw on a thin layer of Double Wear and then go over any areas that need extra coverage with bare escentuals. It works like a dream, and even with my terrible skin (I mean awful blotchy, oily) people give me compliments on my skin.
And, I’ve never tried this out but, I’ve heard that milk of magnesia (yes, from the drugstore) works great to mattify skin. For more makeup reviews I highly recommend Makeupalley.com. Lots of reviews from lots of real people!
