I did and I’m plus sized (16/18)!  I had a ton of fun preparing for it.  Shopping for lingerie, shoes, jewelry and making up “little white lies” about where I was going and why I had my makeup done when I returned (I was at a so-called makeup party lol) was tons of fun.  I was a bit nervous at first, but my photographer really helped me to relax and enjoy.   She did a fabulous job placing me in poses that were flattering for my figure and also did a bit of editing to smooth out cellulite.  My hubby absolutely loved his 1st anniversary gift (see the link below) and I highly recommend it! If you have anymore questions, let me know.

P.S. Prior to my shoot, I googled plus-size boudor and was able to find some great ideas for outfits and poses.  I shared them with my photographer and we used some of them.

I was thinking about it….I thought I might take some other’s advice and try it at home (there are plenty of tutorials online) and see how it works out. If it goes ok, I will go to a pro so they can smooth out the cellulite like @mellisip said! Fiance always tells me he loves me just the way I am, and I think he would really enjoy it. I just don’t know if I could pull it off! haha

Hi miss.nicole – I just wanted to toss in my two cents here – One of my friends, a full-figured girl, showed me the boudoir album she had done for her hubby as a wedding gift, and she looked fabulous.  A good photographer will know the right poses and lighting to create the sexiest shots, and your SO obviously loves your body the way it is, so I would say don’t shy away from it if it’s something you want to do!

Just for what that’s worth.  🙂

I really want to do this for FI! He saw me looking at this post earlier and said he would like it if I decided to do it. He went into the other room so I could look at some stuff. Says he doesn’t want to ruin any surprises by looking over my shoulder. I’m a plus sized girl too. I’m really self-conscious about my stomach, but this just seems like it would be fun.

I think it’s a great idea!  I’d just suggest that you make sure when you’re picking a photographer, that it’s one that’s done work with full figured women before in boudoir shots and knows what shots are the most flattering.

Search the boards, sometime last year a bee posted her full figure shots and they looked really good. I think there was a pose wearing some sort of jersey if I remember correctly.

I did a shoot earlier this month and it was such a great experience!  I was really, really nervous but I’m so happy I did it.  She did my hair and makeup as part of the package and she really did know how to position me so the pics highlighed the right features.  I will say that I am not in love with ALL the pictures, but I love many of them WAY more than I ever imagined.  I definitely recommend doing it.  It was fun doing the shopping, even if I now have corsets I’ll never wear again.  lol.  I had so much fun, I’d love to do it again!  And I think I may end up looking at my album for than Fiance does!  Here’s a couple I feel comfy showing – at least for a little while.  🙂

@miss.nicole:  Thanks so much for the compliment!  SO glad I/we could give you some encouraging words!  GO FOR IT!

@chrispygal: Thanks for sharing your experiences.  I want to do it again also…it was such a confidence booster!  By The Way, you’re photos are incredible!  Your outfits and shoes are soooo fun and sexy!  I bet your soon-to-be hubby will LOVE them!

@kimbee23:  Doing some practice shots is a great idea.  It might help to get rid of some “nerves” that you might have about doing the shoot.  I strongly recommend a professional photographer, as they can help to make you look fabulous!

@ama0219:  HE will just love you for doing it!  Don’t worry about the belly part.  Your photographer will help to pose you so that you look wonderful!

Here are a couple more pics from my shoot that I love:
