My dress is floor length, my shoes are closed toed, and I don’t like panty hose or thigh-highs! So I’m not doing any of those unless, like you say, my fiance requests. I didn’t think of that one!

I’m pretty sure I’m wearing shorts under my dress.  I’m getting married in the middle of august, so I definitely do NOT want to wear full hose, and I think Thigh High’s will be just as hot

I hate hose and didn’t wear any. My wedding was early spring. I wore sandals. Fortunately, it was a sunny day so I wasn’t too chilled.

I wear thigh highs on date nights and no matter what brand, I always have to pull them up at some point. That could be a problem in a big wedding dress. You could use a garter belt but then- are you going to put the wedding garter on top of it all?

i had a late october wedding.  i wore cotton underwear only, nothing sexy (as i had AF).

i never wear hose, so i didn’t see why i would on my wedding.  my shoes were peep toe, but no one really saw my shoes anyway with long dress.

be as comfortable as possible.

Tights under a wedding dress sounds so uncomfortable! It’s a no from me.

Does anyone actually wear pantyhose anymore? I’m just wearing nude spanx shorts.

twright4770 :  I would just wear what makes you most comfortable because at the end of the night you are more then likely going to be a sweaty mess under your dress. If you want to wear thigh highs, which i think you should, you should put them on when you are back at home or your hotel and are freshly showered.

I had thigh high stockings, in white with a lovely design up the side of each leg. I had closed toe shoes and I hate not having anything between my foot and any closed toe shoe. Hubby loved them!

I just had some cute blue underwear. I would think the long dress would be plenty warm in October, but I live in San Francisco, where it doesn’t go too far below or above temperate.

No hosiery for me.  Wedding gowns are hot and heavy.

Any type of pantyhose under a wedding dress sounds like a hot sweaty nightmare to me.

twright4770 :  I think thigh highs would be uncomfortable but I also hear you on the sweaty foot thing. I put antiperspirant on my feet so they would not sweat too much. I’d hate to be wearing thigh highs and be all uncomfortable on top of nervous on top of in a tight or big dress. Additionally… DH was very drunk by the end of the evening and any sexy underthings would have been a complete WASTE on him.
